Avalon Open Meet

Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th October 2008

Congratulations to all swimmers that took part in this event. Everyone swam incredibly well and were a credit to the club. Esme Gullick had some fantastic finalist results, coming 1st in 3 of her races - the 13 year olds 100m fly (1.11.72), 50m back (33.71) and 100m back (1.13.44). She also took 2nd place in the 13 year old 50m fly and 50m freestyle!! Holly Gullick also had a brilliant swim with 3 top places - these being the 11 year old 50m freestyle (33.70), 100m back (1.20.34) and the 50m butterfly (37.28). Charlotte Bradley and Lucinda Hoy-Green did well in the 12 year old girls races. Charlotte got 2nd place in the 200 breast and 3rd place in the 50m breast while Lucinda came 3rd in both the 100m and 200m freestyle events. Melissa Bramwell also swam to 3rd place in the finals of the 15/overs 50m breast stroke.

Nick Kuht had a great swim taking top place in the 13 year old boys 100m freestyle with a time of 1.05.25. He also got 3rd place in the 50m fly. A huge well done also to James Bramwell who came 1st in the 9 year old boys 50m breastroke (47.17) and 3rd in both the 200m freestyle and 200m Individual Medley events. Scott Bradley also secured 3rd place in the finals of the 11 year old boys 50m fly. Well done to you all! Full results from Fromeswimming>
