Two Members Honoured at WSMSC Annual General Meeting

Two long-serving members of Weston-super-Mare Swimming Club were honoured at the recently held Annual General Meeting, Mike Coles and Julian Davies. Mike Coles was given a life membership of the club for his services to them in Water Polo and Julian Davies was presented with the honour of Clubman of the Year for his hard work on both poolside and with helping the swim squads at competitions.  Report by M.Coles>

Found : wsmsc hat and pink speedo goggles at the Sidcot Relay Gala - Wednesday 20th May

Found : March 2009, speedo swimming costume in girls changing room after training.

Lost : March 2009 - purple drink bottle

ASA Young Volunteer Award 2009

Congratulations to Chris Knight from WSMSC who won the inaugural Somerset ASA Young Volunteer Award 2009. Well done also to Matt Hoy-Green who was recognised for his outstanding contribution to swimming.    Read more from SASA>

Also at the AGM, Weston-super-Mare Swimming club's President Sue Dors was awarded a County Shield for service to Somerset swimming over many years.

Pete Gonsalves was also accepted as President Elect for 2010.
